Sasha James is the founder and therapist behind San Souci Support Services. With over 15 years of experience in the field, her work is rooted in creating safe, accessible spaces where individuals can slow down, reconnect with themselves, and explore practical tools for emotional regulation, connection and healing.
This experience reflects her belief in the power of connection and gentle, sensory-based practices to support calm, clarity, and presence in everyday life.

Nestled in the lush hills of Lopinot, the Mariposa Gardens & Café is a space where nature invites you to slow down.
Surrounded by tropical greenery, flowering plants, butterflies, hummingbirds and the quiet rhythms of the forest, the café and gardens offer a peaceful escape from the pace of everyday life.
This space perfectly blends indoor charm with an immersive garden setting creating the perfect backdrop for grounding, exploration, and connection.
With winding garden paths, shaded seating, and a deep connection to the land and village, Mariposa holds a sense of warmth, care, and intentionality...making it an ideal space to pause, gather, and reconnect with the senses.

The award-winning team at Mariposa Café will provide a wholesome, flavor-forward lunch, prepared with fresh ingredients sourced directly from their garden and surrounding village.
Expect one-of-a-kind, cocoa-infused dishes crafted with care...layers of rich, earthy flavors designed to be savored slowly. A truly unique dessert, served in open-faced cocoa pods, offers a feast not only for the eyes but for the palate as well.
Lunch will be a selection of either meat, fish, or vegetarian options, with additional dietary restrictions thoughtfully accommodated upon prior request.

Each activity is thoughtfully curated to foster meaningful connection...both with yourself and with others.
Through gentle exploration and guided conversation, these experiences create space for understanding, presence, and shared moments.
Whether you arrive on your own or with friends, the design of each session helps bridge that gap...making it easy to feel welcomed, included, and connected.

This hands-on experience invites you to slow down and engage the senses of touch and smell.
Using natural ingredients, you will create three personalized body scrubs, blending textures and aromas that feel soothing and grounding to you.
This session is designed as a gentle, sensory activity...encouraging presence, creativity, and self-attunement.
You will leave with your custom-made scrubs to continue the experience at home, carrying a piece of calm with you.

Set within the garden amphitheater at Mariposa, this sound bath invites you to rest and listen.
Surrounded by nature, you will experience gentle, immersive sounds designed to soothe the nervous system and support deep relaxation.
As tones and vibrations from sound bowls and other instruments move through the open-air space, sound becomes something you don’t just hear...but feel.
This session offers a quiet opportunity to slow down, soften, and allow sound to carry you into a state of calm presence.

This guided walk through the Mariposa Gardens invites you to move slowly and let nature lead the way.
As you follow shaded paths and garden trails, you will be gently encouraged to notice the steady rhythm of your steps, the earth beneath your feet, and the natural world unfolding around you.
Birdsong, rustling leaves, filtered sunlight, and the scent of the garden become anchors...helping the body soften and the nervous system settle.

Within two weeks of the experience, each attendee will receive a personalized guided imagery recording done by your host, Sasha James, created using reflections and responses from the retreat.
This recording is designed as a gentle, ongoing resource... offering a familiar sense of calm, grounding, and regulation beyond the day itself.
Thoughtfully tailored to your experience, it allows you to return to the feelings, imagery, and steadiness cultivated during the retreat, whenever you need a moment to pause, ground and reconnect.
Please reach me at sasha@sansoucitherapy.com if you have a specific question not addressed below.
Everything outlined above as well as all materials, retreat workbook, snack box and refreshments are included. Each attendee will also receive a curated retreat welcome bag to support continued grounding and self-care at home.
All are welcomed to attend.
